FU is turning out to be a fun as fuck project to work on. I think the gear needed for people to communicate is nearly complete. Here’s what we got:
I managed to get all the people currently subscribed to the Freehacker’s Union converse list to do a roll call so I could gathe the latest list of countries. This also helped them find other people near them quickly. Here’s the latest list:
This weekend was spent working on The Freehacker’s Union website and getting the mailing list all organized and working well. We held an IRC meeting, laid out how things could go, and started working on getting all the locals that are interested going.
The Freehacker’s Union is officially a global movement. Hot damn this is so much fun. We just had our first meeting on IRC today and worked out some really good ideas. It’s awesome to see so many other people just as pissed off and hungry as myself.
